The Second Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University was founded in 1988 and invested by China National Nuclear Corporation. It is also known as the General Hospital of Nuclear Industry and Sino-French Friendship Hospital. It is a modern large-scale comprehensive teaching hospital with complete disciplines, distinct professional characteristics, advanced technology and equipment, a strong talent team, and leading management indicators. From the initial pile of soil, it has now become a large-scale comprehensive tertiary-level hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, and prevention. In 2015, the High-tech Zone Hospital of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University was expanded. The project scale: 16 floors, an area of about 82,720 square meters, a construction area of 82,720 square meters, an investment of about 400 million yuan, and it is expected to be completed in June 2017.
